Amy Montali is a California-born artist/photographer currently living and working in Providence, RI. She has exhibited widely in galleries and museums throughout the U.S., including the Foley Gallery in New York City and Gallery Kayafas in Boston.
She designed and manages the current photography program at Rhode Island College, where she is a Professor of Art. She previously taught at the Museum School, Greenfield Community College, Tufts University, and Hampshire College. She completed a BA with majors in film studies and theater at Wesleyan University and an MFA in Studio Art at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
Her photographs are held in many private and public collections, including the RISD Museum of Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She has been published in Artscope Magazine, Fraction Magazine, the Photo Review, the Providence Journal, the Boston Globe, and many additional online journals.
